Born in July 1969, I grew up in western Arkansas on a 120 acre stock farm. Raised by Christian parents, I was the youngest of three boys. I graduated from Booneville High School in 1987, and graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas in 2004 with a BS in Geography.

My career background began in the spatial disciplines. I started as a survey instrument-man and draftsman, eventually advancing to survey crew chief. In 2000 I shifted my focus to GIS (geographic information systems) and worked as a technician. Since then I have worked as a cartographer, analyst, manager and coordinator.
